Emma Thompson is a photographer based in Sheffield and Skipton. Music events and outdoor landscapes are big aspects of her life and brings this into her images. She pauses the moment of the event whether it's an artist on stage, a person dancing in a club or a walker stumbling through the countryside. She repeatedly uses symmetry and leading lines to elevate her images and adapts well to lighting setups whether it’s natural or artificial. The photos are less about the visual aspect and more about the feeling of being there in that moment and the experience itself. Although it's good to have a vision, having a laid back personality has helped her get a number of right place, right time shots. Although Emma has two main passions, her skills in these are very transferable in other areas of photography and is keen to work with clients to capture appeasing images for any platform.
